Fungaflor Smoke Generator
A systematic fungicide smoke for the control of powdery mildew on cucumbers, roses and other ornamentals under glass.
What is Fungaflor?
Fungaflor smokes contain Imazalil as an active ingredient. Imazalil is a systematic imidazole fungicide used to control a wide rang of fungi on fruit, vegetables and ornamentals.
It has been used safely on the Bellona and Sonia rose varieties and only has a one day harvest interval for cucumbers.
Powdery mildew fungi controlled include Sphaerotheca, Microsphaera and Oidiopsis. It also provides partial control of diseases such as grey mould (Botrytis) in cucurbits and roses and black spot (Diplocarpon rosae) of roses.
For edible crops, control of powdery mildew is achieved with residue levels well below the MRL (Maximum Residue Level) established by the European Commission and Codex Alimentarius (JMPR/FAO/WHO).
Fungaflor is the first fungicide for treatment in horticulture to be accepted on Annex III of directive 91/414 which is essential for continued use in the EU.
Powdery mildew is named for the greyish-white, powdery mat consisting of fungus mycelium and masses of spores present on the surface of plant tissues. The mildew mat may vary from white to light grey to light tan, but it is distinct and not easily confused with other rose diseases.
